We’re thrilled to announce auditions for Hadestown: Teen Edition on Sunday 16th November, with 7 performances taking place at the Cheltenham Playhouse from WEDNESDAY 1st - SATURDAY 4th April 2026.

Hadestown is a spellbinding reimagining of two ancient myths — the love story of Orpheus and Eurydice, and the tale of Hades and Persephone. Set in a gritty, industrial underworld, this Tony Award-winning musical blends folk, jazz, and blues to tell a timeless story of hope, love, and the power of music to challenge even the darkest of places.

Follow Orpheus, a passionate dreamer and musician, as he ventures deep underground to rescue his beloved Eurydicefrom the grasp of Hades, ruler of Hadestown. Along the way, he encounters Persephone, torn between two worlds, and the Fates, who watch and weave the threads of destiny.

This show is more than a musical — it’s an experience. Full of heart, rhythm, and emotion, it explores what it means to believe in something even when the odds seem impossible.
