EASTER WORKSHOPS 2023 - THE JUKE BOX KIDS

Led by our experienced and highly talented tutors, Daisy Hadley & April Perrott, the children will learn new theatre games that will increase their confidence both individually and when working within a group; story-telling, creating characters, learning songs, and movement, culminating in a performance of “THE JUKE BOX KIDS", which will be performed on the main-stage of the Cheltenham Playhouse (Main-stage), fully costumed (and with songs and dances !) on THURSDAY 6th at 12.00pm.

This fantastic workshop is formatted to perfectly suit any student who loves performing, and is open to anyone {not just Theatre Studio students}, experienced and those who have never attended any drama classes and also for those who have just begun !

SYNOPSIS OF THE JUKE BOX KIDS

Jump back to the 1950s and join us down at the local diner for the annual JUKE BOX JIVE competition. The T Birds and Pink Ladies come face to face with their fierce competitors, The Juke Box Kids, for hand jive battles and rockin’ around the clock.

Will the T Birds and Pink Ladies retain the coveted Milkshake Cup for the 10th year running, or will the Juke Box Kids steal it from them ? The battle lines have been drawn, it’s time to grab your lipstick and hair gel and let the JIVE begin !

Open to any student who loves performing from the School Year Reception - Year 6. The show will be performed fully costumed and take place on the MainStage of the Cheltenham Playhouse.
