Join Theatre Studio this summer for our highly successful, week long Summer School, where once again we will be running our various courses in Acting, Musical Theatre and Technical Backstage
Starting on the Monday morning, each student will work throughout the week towards a presentation of their own groups piece, and will culminate in a public performance to be held at the end of the week on the main stage at the Playhouse Theatre. These are fully costumed productions backed up by the technical support of those students on the Technical Backstage course.
Places usually book up very quickly, so get in first by applying today! Discounts are available for existing weekly (term-time) students, as well as discounts for registering more than once child.
( Ages 14-19 )
Our Senior Musical Theatre course, led by a professional Director, Choreographer and Musical Director, will work towards the public presentation of a musical. In the past, we have presented such musicals as Blood Brothers, Chicago, Rent, Godspell and Wicked. Each student will sing, dance and act and be part of a fantastic ensemble piece.
As well as rehearsing for this piece, each student will take part in morning workshops which teach, among other things, singing, dance, acting, character work, voice and stage combat. We feel these workshops are an important part of the week as skills taught here can be immediately applied to the end of week production.
Your child will be given a week they will never forget, where lifelong friends will be discovered and new and important skills learnt.

Our Junior Acting and Musical Theatre course, led by a professional Director, will work towards the public presentation of a musical play. With our younger students the week involves learning new theatre games that will increase their confidence both individually and when working within a group; story-telling, creating characters, learning songs, and movement.
This fantastic workshop is formatted to perfectly suit the Reception and Year 1 students who have never attended any drama classes and also for those who are just beginning their journey into the world of theatre and performance.
